THE GLOBAL INSTITUTE ON INNOVATION DISTRICTS
Website design and brand identity project developed for The Global Institute on Innovation Districts, an international startup based in Lugano, Switzerland. The project included responsive web design and logo creation to present the organization clearly to global partners and financial stakeholders.
The institute provides research, analysis, and consulting services aimed at accelerating the development of innovation districts worldwide. Therefore, the client required a professional website capable of explaining both theory and practice in a clear, engaging, and impactful way.

Logo and Website Design Concept
The logo concept represents multiple core values of the organization. In particular, the symbol illustrates the idea of innovation districts, the connection between cities, and the global network structure of the institute.
A continuous yellow line creates a visual connection between elements, symbolizing globality, collaboration, and urban development. At the same time, the graphic language recalls buildings and districts, reinforcing the organization’s mission.
For the website design, the goal was to create a fast, simple, and visually impactful interface suitable for international presentations. The visual language of the website was developed directly from the logo symbol, ensuring a consistent and professional brand identity.
Scope of work
The project included the development of a fully responsive website for the startup, designed to ensure optimal performance across all devices. In addition, a modern logo was created to reflect the brand’s identity, accompanied by a comprehensive logo style guide to guarantee consistent visual communication. The work also involved the design of brochures and supporting communication materials to strengthen the overall brand image.

Visual Identity and Colors
First of all the brand identity uses a distinctive color palette to communicate innovation and professionalism. The logo version enclosed in a circular shape was also designed for use on photographic backgrounds, ensuring flexibility across different applications.
Responsive website design
The website style and visual elements derive directly from the logo design to strengthen brand recognition. The layout features a left-aligned header that remains visible during navigation, improving usability and emphasizing brand visibility. Graphic elements inspired by the logo lines are used as title separators and background elements. Additionally, a custom global map with connection points was created to express the international scope of the organization, providing a modern alternative to traditional world map visuals.
Business Card Design
A minimal and modern business card design was developed to maintain visual consistency across offline communication materials. The business card represents the first visual impression of the brand and reinforces its professional identity.
Paper and Fact Sheet Design
Document design for research and study materials was created to reflect the visual identity of the brand. These materials reinforce the corporate image and ensure consistency across all communication channels.
